Every music nerd has their own quirky, ever-evolving set-up. 20 years ago, I had a green desk, built by my then-girlfriend now-wife, upon which rested a Tascam Porta-02 Four-Track Cassette recorder and an SM-57. Today, my 50th birthday, I’m still singing through that SM-57, but I’ve accumulated a bunch of other toys over the years, almost all of which are still integrated into the current incarnation of “Bobby’s playroom.”
